Over the last few years, web-based resources about K-pop groups and artists have grown. Individual K-pop fandoms provide detailed profiles about their respective groups and artists. Discographies can be accessed directly through Google.
The K-pop Context Project seeks to complement these efforts by providing profiles that provide context for K-pop groups and artists. By explaining how artists are distinctive within a larger K-pop context, revealing K-pop “families” through the identification of label mates and documenting collaborations with other K-pop artists, these profiles seek to help fans expand their K-pop horizons.
